The 2011 Poker Hall of Fame inductions were announced at the end of October, with two people added to its prestigious list. They can always be nominated again and inducted in future years, however. In the meantime, they'll probably continue to contribute to world wide web poker.
Nominations and inductions are not a simple process. The Hall of Fame is overseen by the World Series of Poker, and they allow anyone to be nominated. The Governing Council of the Poker Hall of Fame picks ten of these nominations, and they are sent to 17 members of the poker media and eighteen living members of the Hall of Fame. Each voter gets ten points to distribute where they wish among the ten nominations. The two names that receive the most points are then inducted.
There is a list of criteria that nominations for the Poker Hall of Fame must meet. For example, nominees must have played consistently well over time, have the respect of their peers, and have played in some of the toughest games. If someone nominated isn’t actually a player of a poker download, they must have contributed to the overall growth and success of poker.
One of the inductees was Barry Greenstein, a PokerStars pro and ambassador. You might know him as the “Robin Hood of Poker” due to the fact he has donated a whopping $3 million (all won from poker) to charity in his lifetime. He possesses three WSOP bracelets and two World Poker Tour titles, and his total tournament winnings amounts to over $7 million.

Since all the positions are now filled, countries have been filed into 7 groups and pitted against each other. There will be poker tournaments in which players of the same positions will play each other within each group. To receive a spot in the live final on Paradise Island, a country must do the best in their group. In total seven teams will make the cut.
Once they get to Paradise Island, each team will get a member of Team PokerStars added to their team as their captain. The teams will compete for $290,000 in total prize money with $100,000 for the winning team to share.

Earning PokerStars rakeback was no longer an option, but at least their money was safe.

The AGCC resisted at first, and they brought up the fact that Full Tilt Poker owes them £250,000 in licensing fees. The site came back and said that they would not be willing to pay if they could not get their license back in the first place.
Affected players were very unhappy to hear that nothing else was decided at the meeting. The hearing will not take place until September 15th. September marks the 5th month that Americans have had their money frozen. In the meantime, they will just have to play Craps online and hope that September 15th brings better news.
